Contents

FLEDGE is a lightweight alternative to Kubernetes on the edge. It uses 90% less memory and 75% less disk space compared to vanilla Kubernetes. Yet, it provides the same API and developer experience.

It allows users to manage edge devicesdeploy applications, and set up secure cloud-edge data streams using the familiar Kubernetes interfaces.

This workshop will give you hands-on experience with FLEDGE. It will teach you how to get started with it on an edge device, how to deploy applications, and how to set up data streams.

Key Takeaways

  • Edge device management and monitoring from the cloud.
  • Edge application deployment and monitoring from the cloud.
  • Cloud-edge data stream management.
