The ConnectedFactories project established a structured overview of available and upcoming technological approaches and best practices with regard to the digitalisation of manufacturing.
The project explored pathways to the digital integration and interoperability of manufacturing systems and processes and the benefits this will bring. Hence, ConnectedFactories enhanced the awareness among companies of the use of digital technologies in the manufacturing sector, but also equip them with knowledge to make informed decisions regarding technology and business model choices.
The ConnectedFactories digitalisation pathways and the overal framework of the EFFRA Innovation Portal are used to characterise and put into context projects, technologies, demonstrators or cases on the digitalisation of manufacturing. More information: www.connectedfactories.eu
